You’re gracefully patient and happy to ride — half-wheel free — with #newbies to racers with palmarès. As a certified Top Guide, you’ve amassed what we call rare and valuable skills and our guests are forever impressed by your unique capabilities.

These aren’t run-of-the-mill bike tours — you’ve got to be trained up and ready to clock in 800 kilometers plus per week.

As a Top Guide, you have:

• Years of mileage under your belt as a competent and skilled cyclist
• A depth of knowledge about Italy, sports performance and the Italian culture
• A knack for turning strangers into friends
• English fluency
• A European home base
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Proficiency in driving a manual transmission vehicle
• A fun, engaging and kind personality (introverted or extroverted)
• Strong work ethic, professionalism and attention to detail
• A curious and efficient solution-oriented mindset
• A practice of extreme ownership

In an ideal world, you also have:

• First-hand experience in the high-end hospitality and travel industry
• Italian language skills
• An Italian home base

This position is not for you if:

• You’re unavailable on evenings and weekends
• You’re looking for a long-term, permanent opportunity beyond the scope of this event-based position
• You’re not based in Europe
• You have no sense of humor
• You have personal drama

About Lucca Cycling Club

Lucca Cycling Club is a virtual atelier for cycling travel founded by former pro cyclist and Canadian National Champion Alison Testroete. Our mission is to elevate every life we touch through a shared passion for cycling. From our base in Lucca, we host cycling tours across Italy for an international, English-speaking clientele.
